Andy Reid said after practice today at Lehigh that Mike Patterson was cleared to work on his conditioning and will do so for about one week.
He’s expected to start practicing after his conditioning is completed.
A close friend of Steve Smith says that the current Philadelphia Eagle wide receiver expects to return to the field and play in week three against his former team, the New York Giants.
This is good news for the Eagles who will need help at the #2 wide receiver position in the unfortunate case that Jeremy Maclin can’t play.

Last night, former Eagles QB Kevin Kolb made his debut with the Arizona Cardinals, his new ship. Kolb completed 4-for7 with 68 yards and 0 touchdowns. Most of those passes were to Larry Fitzgerald. In fact, he was the only Cardinals quarterback last night to not have a touchdown.

After spending a majority of his European playing years on loans with multiple clubs (AS Monaco, Belenenses, Aris, Caykur Rizespor), Freddy Adu is returning to the MLS for the first time since 2007 and will be reunited with former D.C. United manager Piotr Nowak.
UPDATE: Adu will keep #11 and Levi Houapeu will move to #12. According to the Union’s Twitter account, Adu jerseys will be available later today. Also, Adu was acquired on a FREE transfer from Benfica.
